Public Expenditures are expenses incurred by the Public Administration to meet the basic needs of
society. The present work sought to analyze whether there is an impact of public spending on the
economic growth of municipalities in the state of Amazonas during the years 2013 to 2019. The
variables used were GDP, Health, Sanitation, Education, Culture, Urbanization and Housing. For this,
panel analysis and correlation matrix were used. The model considered most appropriate for the use of
panel data was the Fixed Effects model. The results obtained showed that investments in the variables
Health and Sanitation and Urban Planning and Housing have a positive impact on GDP. However, the
Education and Culture variable had an inverse effect on the municipal GDP during the period studied.
