Resumo:
In the midst of a market that forms a massive number of production engineers year after year, the level of collection by organizations was expected to grow in parallel. In an increasingly competitive environment many professionals are hired by technical skills and fired for behavioral problems. In this context, this work aims to understand which behavioral skills (soft skills) are most valued in the labor market in the career of Production Engineer based on a report of the World Economic Forum held in 2020 which listed 15 soft skills of greater relevance until the year 2025. This understanding was made by applying a form to undergraduates and graduates of a public university using convenience sampling and Likert Scale to quantify responses. These skills were empirically validated through the experiences with the market demands by the graduates and, later compared with a view of themselves of the undergraduates in order to conclude the real need for behavioral skills in the labor market and whether the engineers in the process of training would already be developing them. The data were collected by Google Forms and analyzed using the business intelligence software Power BI. The research concluded that the highest number of responses was in the area of agreement by the graduates, meaning a great relevance of the presence of behavioral skills in the work environment. In relation to the students something similar occurred, with most of the answers also in the same zone, indicating the potential for training production engineers already with interpersonal skills in the process of development or even already developed in the target university of the study.
