The global Financial Market is becoming increasingly expressive in terms of trading volume, surpassing several times the size of the real economy, as well as becoming more sophisticated from the point of view of the nature of its financial assets and services, while increasing the complexity and shocks of its operational dynamics and results. Brazil, as an emerging power, is still in its infancy in this activity, but it is showing positive signs of evolution. In this context, the study problem of this work was oriented towards the identification of the prevailing profile of financial investor, among young students of Economic Sciences at the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM. Among its objectives, it sought to identify the main characteristics of the Brazilian financial market, as well as the constituent factors of the students' investor profile. The methodology comprised the investigation of specialized secondary sources and the field survey of primary data on the expectations and choices of students in this market, with the application of an online session directed to students of the alcohol intake course of the morning and evening shifts at UFAM, from October 2021 to November to December 2022. The first sample had a total of 73 students and the second, 53. Google Form and Excel software were used for data application and analysis. The results concluded that the target audience of the research has a predominant profile of moderate investors, who are willing to take a little more risk to obtain greater returns, opting for low and medium risk financial assets.
