The present work is configured in the analysis of the performance of the Tutelary Council in preventing and combating sexual violence against children and adolescents in the municipality of Parintins. The general objective of this study is to investigate the role of the Tutelary Council in preventing and combating sexual violence against children and adolescents in the city of Parintins-AM. 3 specific objectives were drawn to achieve the central objective: 1) Outline an overview of cases of violence against children and adolescents treated at the Tutelary Council of Parintins-AM, from 2020 to 2022; 2) Analyze how the Tutelary Council acts to prevent and combat sexual violence against children and adolescents and the results of its actions in the municipality; 3) Check the challenges faced in preventing and combating sexual violence against children and adolescents in the city of Parintins/AM. This is a bibliographic and field research with a qualitative approach. As a subject of the research, 01 Counselor who works in the Tutelary Council was interviewed. The instrument used in the research was the interview with a script of semi-structured questions. The results reveal that the panorama of CT cases shows an increase in demands from 2020 onwards, and that the highlighted cases are family conflict and sexual violence. CT prevention actions have already had effects, although they do not work exactly with prevention and that the protection network is fundamental to enhance the actions. And finally, that the CT has difficulties in meeting the demands of the interior, which weakens the actions and protection of children and youth rights. |
