Due to the accumulated degradation resulting from weather conditions and anthropogenic activities on residential properties, particularly when proper periodic maintenance is not carried out, the functionality of the structures can be compromised. In this context, residential renovation works play a pivotal role in the restoration of deteriorated buildings. Thus, the principal objective of this study was to undertake a comprehensive residential renovation project, accompanied by corresponding calculation reports and budget, which encompassed interventions aimed at adapting the spaces to meet the specific needs of the residents, thereby enhancing comfort and functionality. The methodology employed encompassed the following stages: a) assessment of the building's condition; b) development of a needs program based on the characteristics of the residents; c) formulation of a preliminary design subjected to validation by the building occupants; d) creation of an architectural renovation project comprising site plans, location, floor plans, sections, and elevations; e) renovation project for the electrical installations within the premises; f) renovation project for the cold water supply systems; g) renovation project for the stormwater drainage system; h) preparation of descriptive service specifications; i) calculation reports; j) itemized budget for services and construction. The development of the projects adhered strictly to applicable technical standards. Ultimately, all the developed elements were in full compliance with the relevant regulatory guidelines and municipal laws and were consolidated into a singular document, which was presented to the property owners for approval.
