This is bibliographic research in dialogue with theorists who address the subject, in primary works, as well as in scientific articles. In the analysis of literacy games suggested by some authors, we found the possibilities of contact with reading and writing in a playful way, followed by other activities of linguistic analysis, such as word formation, identification of syllables and rhymes, construction of phrases associated with reading and writing and emphasis on phonemic awareness - sound – letter – sound – spelling relationship, contemplating the alphabetic writing system as the initial linguistic basis of literacy. Faced with these findings, we affirm that the ludic and ludic activities can enhance the work with reading and writing in literacy. Este estudo tem por objetivo socializar a relevância dos jogos e brincadeiras para o desenvolvimento da alfabetização e letramento, uma vez que, apesar de existirem muitos estudos sobre o uso do lúdico como mediação para o ensino e a aprendizagem, ainda é um recurso didático - pedagógico pouco utilizado na sala de aula. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico em diálogo com os teóricos que abordam sobre o assunto, em obras primárias, bem como em artigos científicos. Na análise dos jogos de alfabetização sugeridos por alguns autores (as), constatamos as possibilidades de contato com a leitura e a escrita de forma lúdica, seguida de outras atividades de análise linguística, como a formação de palavras, identificação de sílabas e rimas, construção de frases associadas à leitura e escrita e ênfase na consciência fonêmica - relação som – letra – som – grafia, contemplando o sistema de escrita alfabética como base linguística inicial da alfabetização.
