Scientific dissemination is the dissemination of scientific information aimed at the lay public, in other words, non-specialized. Being able to be practiced in several types of media, this research is concerned with its practice in social media, seeking to understand how it occurs in the media in the areas of Librarianship and Information Science. Thus, it has as its main objective the analysis of social media focused on scientific dissemination in the areas of Librarianship and IC. For this, it was necessary to a) identify the profiles that perform the scientific dissemination, b) characterize those responsible for the profiles, beginning of operation, number of posts, nature and content of messages and c) present an overview of these media in Brazil. It is characterized as a research of applied nature, with exploratory and descriptive objectives, qualitative approach and netnographic procedure.The results showed that there are 21 profiles that perform the activity of scientific dissemination, most of them managed by institutions, greater use of image and text, and having the dissemination of material with the highest incidence. It also showed that the themes often have a correlation with the typology of the library. |
