Experience report: This report refers to the experience of nursing students in extension activities, which were aimed at students in the third year of regular high school. In a light and relaxed way, the topic of Sexually Transmitted Infections was addressed with illustrative PowerPoint images, which dealt with forms of prevention, always emphasizing the use of male and female condoms. The activity ended with a round of conversation and an invitation to the students to take rapid tests for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C. Final considerations: The project allowed participants to experience health education up close outside the walls of the university so that they realized the real need to work with different audiences, correlating the knowledge acquired in the classroom and enabling them to grow professionally. Relatar a experiência de discentes de Enfermagem em um projeto de extensão sobre Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis realizado nas escolas estaduais de um município do interior do Amazonas. Relato de experiência: O presente relato refere-se à experiência das acadêmicas de Enfermagem nas atividades de extensão, que tiveram como público-alvo os discentes do 3.° ano do ensino médio regular. De uma maneira leve e descontraída, foi abordado o tema Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis com imagens ilustrativas no PowerPoint, o qual versou sobre as formas de prevenção, destacando sempre o uso do preservativo feminino e masculino. A atividade foi finalizada com uma roda de conversa e com um convite aos alunos para a realização dos testes rápidos de HIV, sífilis, hepatite B e C.
