This research aims to develop a reflection on the indigence of pedagogical practice through playing in Early Childhood Education, with a focus on playfulness, in a way that promotes the child's learning and intellectual development, using effective strategies that involve games and pranks. From this, the objective of this study was to analyze the literature published in the format of scientific articles between 2015-2023 on cognitive and human development with playing in Early Childhood Education. Methodologically, the study consists of an integrative review of the literature, with a universe of 05 articles that were collected on the CAPES Periodicals Portal. The data were analyzed descriptively using an instrument called 'IR protocol' and subsequently the findings were subjected to the content analysis procedure. As a result, it was It is possible to construct two categories: 1) The contribution of play to teaching and learning in Early Childhood Education; 2) The importance of playing in the child’s development process. The analysis suggests that Early Childhood Education is the first stage of a child's learning, where they have their first contact in the school environment, and consequently with other children, so at this stage play is very important to develop cognitive skills and abilities, through of different languages, providing sensory discoveries, sociocultural interaction, concentration and children's laterality, through gestures, movements, rules and empathy. Finally, it is concluded that educators adopt playful strategies in their daily practices, creating rich and stimulating learning environments that meet children's cognitive, emotional and social needs. Esta pesquisa tem como desígnio desenvolver uma reflexão acerca da indigência da prática pedagógica por meio do brincar na Educação Infantil, com um olhar voltado para a ludicidade, de modo que promova a aprendizagem e o desenvolvimento intelectual da criança, utilizando estratégias efetivas que envolvam jogos e brincadeiras. A partir disso, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a literatura publicada no formato de artigos científicos entre 2015-2023 sobre o desenvolvimento cognitivo e humano com o brincar na Educação Infantil, metodologicamente, o estudo consiste em uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com universo de 05 artigos que foram coletados no Portal Periódicos CAPES. Os dados foram analisados descritivamente através de um instrumento denominado ‘protocolo de RI’ e posteriormente os achados foram submetidos ao procedimento de análise de conteúdo. Como resultados, foi possível construir duas categorias: 1) A contribuição do lúdico para o ensino e aprendizagem na Educação Infantil; 2) A importância do brincar no processo de desenvolvimento da criança. A análise sugere que a Educação Infantil é a primeira etapa de aprendizagem da criança, onde ela tem seu primeiro contato no ambiente escolar, e consequentemente com outras crianças, então nessa fase o lúdico é muito importante para desenvolver as competências e habilidades cognitivas, por meio de diferentes linguagens, proporcionando descobertas sensórias, interação sociocultural, concentração e a lateralidade das crianças, por meio de gestos, movimentos, regras e empatia. Por fim, conclui-se que os educadores adotem estratégias lúdicas em suas práticas diárias, criando ambientes de aprendizagem ricos e estimulantes que atendam às necessidades cognitivas, emocionais e sociais das crianças.
