Resumo:
This work presents a proposal for a children's film club aimed at students from public schools in the basic education network in Manaus, managed by the education department of the city council. Considering the country's entire history with regard to the use of film as an auxiliary activity in the classroom, as well as the significant impact that productions of this genre generate on children; by evoking imaginative issues inherent to the construction of an imaginary about the themes worked on by films, it is possible to be successful in working with audiovisual pieces in schools in favor of critical and cognitive development at this stage of life. It is also possible to observe the scarcity of activities of this kind promoted or sponsored directly or indirectly by the Municipal Department of Education. The initial proposal was evaluated using the focus group research method, with participants involved, in some way, with the Amazonian film society. Based on the considerations of the Focus Group participants, changes were made to the proposal presented, including the name of the film club, the target audience and crucial changes to the project's visual identity, as a way of developing a more robust scope regarding what can be provided. socio-educational activity for children.
