It was noticed at the beginning of the investigation process the scarcity of documents referring to these Japanese immigrants who worked in the Amazonas, which makes studies even more necessary to record their passage. As a theoretical foundation, the postulates of Michelle Perrot (2007, 2017) were adopted, who developed studies on women and their importance in society, and Maurice Halbwachs (2013), who addresses history and memory from the perspective of the individual, the collective and of society. Thus, it is intended to develop actions of women, nuns and Japanese immigrants, as a way to contribute and add their stories in the immigration context of the Amazonas. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo descrever e analisar a contribuição das imigrantes japonesas que viviam nos internatos da igreja do bairro de São Raimundo e no Instituto Benjamin Constant, na década de 50 a 70, tendo como fontes primárias as fotografias, relatos orais e documentos históricos. Percebeu-se no início do processo de investigação a escassez de documentos referentes a estas imigrantes japonesas que atuaram no Amazonas, o que torna ainda mais necessário os estudos para registrar a passagem das mesmas. Como fundamentação teórica, adotou-se os postulados de Michelle Perrot (2007, 2017) que desenvolveu estudos sobre as mulheres e sua importância na sociedade e Maurice Halbwachs (2013), que aborda sobre história e memória sob a perspectiva do indivíduo, do coletivo e da sociedade.
