Resumo:
This work addresses the relationship between social services and inclusive education and aims to provide an overview of the reality of social workers' work in inclusive education in the municipality of Parintins for students in the regular education network. Educational policy is a fundamental social right that provides educational opportunities on important issues facing society, and the school environment is an important public institution that must contribute to social change. Inclusive education aims to ensure that all students learn together in regular schools, regardless of difficulties and/or differences, thus respecting the Salamanca declaration. The profession of Social Service is based on class struggle, with one of the objectives of this work being social issues, the need for equal rights and improvements in people's quality of life. Given this context of issues related to the importance of the social worker's work in inclusive education, the general objective of this work is to understand the work carried out by the social worker in the education department, for which the following specific objectives were outlined: Identify the work the social worker in the area of inclusive education; Map actions developed by the social worker in inclusive education at the municipal education department; Investigate the possibilities and challenges of social workers in the process of promoting inclusive education in municipal schools. It was a bibliographical, documentary research and field study.
