This undergraduate thesis’ primary purpose is to critically analyze the
headquarters building of the NGO Casa MIGA: Acolhimento LGBT, which provides
care and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite, transgender and transgender
people in situations of social vulnerability, regardless of ethnicity, creed, philosophical
convictions, age, disability, or profession; with emphasis on the infrastructure,
functionality and needs of the architectural complex, the objective is to propose a
design solution that effectively meets the identified needs, in order to ensure the
creation of a new, moderns and welcoming space, making it a Reference Center and
temporary home, that promotes citizenship and the psychological and social well-being
of the LGBT community in the State of Amazonas and neighboring regions.
