Resumo:
Motivation in the public sector is a relevant topic as it explores the factors that influence employee engagement and satisfaction, in addition to impacting the efficiency of services provided to society. This theme becomes particularly important when considering the challenges and specificities of this sector, such as budgetary limitations, bureaucracy, and increasing social demands. The aim of this study was to analyze motivation in the Personnel Management Center of a Public Agency in the State of Amazonas. As a research strategy, a qualitative approach was used, with an applied and descriptive nature, based on interviews with a semi-structured script, conducted with a group of seven employees working in the aforementioned public agency. The content of the interviews was processed using content analysis. The results derived from the analysis reveal that the employees of the organization are motivated by factors such as achievement, financial benefits, participation, and interpersonal relationships. Regarding professional growth and development, only one of the interviewees reported dissatisfaction, while most view the working conditions and environment as areas for improvement, particularly concerning infrastructure.
