Introduction: The advancement of digital health has transformed telehealth and telerehabilitation practices, offering new alternatives for remote physical therapy care. However, there is a need to map and synthesize the existing literature to understand the scope, benefits, and limitations of this approach in the context of physiotherapy. Objective: This study aims to present a scoping review protocol investigating the strengths and weaknesses of telehealth and telerehabilitation as a modality of physiotherapy care delivery. Methods: This scoping review protocol will follow the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) guidelines and utilize databases such as Embase, PubMed, CINAHL, and SciELO to identify relevant observational studies. Articles in English and Portuguese published between 2014 and 2024, specifically addressing telehealth and telerehabilitation in physiotherapy, will be included. Screening will occur in two phases: title and abstract screening followed by full-text review. Expected Conclusion: The review is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the benefits, challenges, and implications of telehealth and telerehabilitation in physiotherapy, enhancing the understanding of its applications and potential limitations. Introdução: O avanço da saúde digital transformou as práticas de telessaúde e telerreabilitação, proporcionando novas alternativas para a assistência fisioterapêutica remota. No entanto, há necessidade de mapear e sintetizar a literatura existente, de modo a entender o alcance, os benefícios e as limitações dessa abordagem no contexto fisioterapêutico. Objetivo: Este estudo visa apresentar um protocolo de revisão de escopo que investigue os pontos fortes e fracos da telessaúde e telerreabilitação como modalidade de prestação de cuidados em fisioterapia. Métodos: Este protocolo de revisão de escopo seguirá as diretrizes do Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) e utilizará bases de dados como Embase, PubMed, CINAHL e SciELO para identificar estudos observacionais relevantes. Serão incluídos artigos em inglês e português, publicados entre 2014 e 2024, que abordem aspectos específicos da telessaúde e telerreabilitação aplicados à fisioterapia. A triagem será realizada em duas fases: leitura de títulos e resumos, seguida da leitura dos textos completos.
