The interaction between sleep and the use of electronic devices, such as smartphones,
has proven to be a significant concern in the modern world, having negative impacts on
the functioning of many people’s biological clocks. As technology becomes increasingly
integrated into our daily lives, the trend of using electronic devices before bed has
become a common practice. However, this convenience comes with a price, affecting
our health and well-being. This work presents a solution to this problem, offering
the user an option to detect the ambient brightness on the smartphone to facilitate
unlocking the device’s screen, as long as the brightness exceeds a previously defined
limit. If the brightness does not meet this criteria, the device will remain locked. This
functionality is a native Android implementation, similar to other native unlocking
methods available. |
