O método utilizado incluiu a revisão de literatura e análise de dados sobre o perfil do público do MA. Os resultados mostram que o museu é uma importante fonte de ensino e pesquisa, com coleções que ajudam a compreender a história da ciência e cultura amazônica. Conclusivamente, o MA contribui significativamente para a educação e conscientização sobre o patrimônio cultural, alinhando-se aos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Organização das Nações Unidas, especialmente nos campos da educação de qualidade e crescimento econômico sustentável.AbstractThe objective of this study is to analyze the role of the Museu Amazônico (MA) at the Federal University of Amazonas in preserving and presenting cultural and scientific heritage, focusing on its educational and touristic impact. The methodology included a literature review and data analysis of the MA's audience profile. Results indicate that the museum serves as an important source for teaching and research, with collections that aid in understanding the history of Amazonian science and culture. In conclusion, the MA significantly contributes to education and awareness of cultural heritage, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of quality education and sustainable economic growth.
