A investigação caracterizou-se com uma pesquisa exploratória descritiva de caráter quanti-qualitativo. O instrumento utilizado foi uma planilha contendo as seguintes variáveis: data de nascimento, data de avaliação, medida de peso corporal e medida de estatura. Com os resultados obtidos conclui-se que 64,08% desses escolares estão classificados como eutróficos, os demais 35,92% possuem algum problema relacionado a estado nutricional, entre eles o que se sobressai é o sobrepeso, com 19,42% da amostra. A faixa etária encontrada considerada mais preocupante foi a de sete anos, do sexo masculino, onde mais da metade (54%) possuem algum tipo de problema relacionado a estado nutricional, seguida pela de nove anos, também do sexo masculino, que é a faixa etária onde também foram encontrados casos de magreza e obesidade.  PALAVRAS CHAVE: Estado Nutricional, antropometria, escolares.  ABSTRACT                  The study aimed to evaluate the nutritional status of schoolchildren in the city of Manaus. The investigation was characterized by a descriptive exploratory research of quantitative and qualitative character. The instrument used was a spreadsheet containing the following variables: date of birth, date of assessment, body weight measurement and height measurement. With the results obtained, it can be concluded that 64.08% of these students are classified as eutrophic, the remaining 35.92% have some problem related to nutritional status, among which stands out the overweight, with 19.42% of the sample. . The age group found to be the most worrying was seven years, male, where more than half (54%) have some type of problem related to nutritional status, followed by nine years, also male, which is the age group. age where cases of thinness and obesity were also found.
