For that, the method of analysis of Jorge Gasché and Lev Vygotsky was used as a basis for the purpose of explaining the knowledge required for the practical execution of each activity of such indigenous society. Issues such as livelihoods and the relationship of the Wai Wai with nature to the pressures of the 21st century were discussed. In order, then, to follow specifically the question of hunting, with the purpose of contributing to a deeper understanding of the peculiar ways of being of the indigenous inhabitants of the Amazon Forest. Finally, in order to understand how the Wai Wai hunting activity develops, interviews were conducted with the following social actors: Wai Wai Indians, interviews were made with the following social actors: indigenous Wai Wai, religious agent of MEVA and zootechnician of FUNAI. In addition, a specific hunting schedule was drawn up to identify the types of animals and hunting sites of the Wai Wai of Jatapuzinho, defined in the twelve months of the year. Therefore, with the support of such an expository and analytical course, a critical revision will be made on the Wai Wai Indians in the fields of historiography and ethnography, in this next step, will be discussed reflections on the relation society nature from the activity of hunting. Este estudo aborda a relação sociedade natureza do povo indígena Wai Wai da comunidade de Jatapuzinho/Caroebe-RR. Para tanto, foi usado como base o método de análise de Jorge Gasché e de Lev Vygotsky com o fim de explicitar os conhecimentos requeridos para a execução prática de cada atividade de tal sociedade indígena. Foram discutidas questões relativas aos aspectos diversos, como os meios de subsistência alimentar e a relação dos Wai Wai com a natureza frente às pressões do século XXI. Para, então, logo na sequência entrar especificamente na questão da caça, com a finalidade de contribuir para a compreensão mais profunda sobre os peculiares modos de ser dos indígenas habitantes da Floresta Amazônica. Por fim, com o objetivo de compreender como se desenvolve a atividade de caça Wai Wai, foram feitas entrevistas com os seguintes atores sociais: indígenas Wai Wai, agente religioso da MEVA e zootecnista da FUNAI. Somado a isso, foi feita a composição de um calendário específico sobre a caça para identificar os tipos de animais e locais de caçadas dos Wai Wai do Jatapuzinho, definidos nos doze meses do ano. Portanto, com o amparo de tal percurso expositivo e analítico, será feita uma revisão crítica sobre os indígenas Wai Wai nos campos da historiografia e etnografia e, nesse passo a seguir, serão discutidos reflexões sobre a relação sociedade natureza a partir da atividade de caça.
