Ethinic identity presentend by african-Guyanese immigrants in the city of Boa Vista, is which central object of study in this research and had been observed that the same functions as stigma element evidenced by a share of the resident Brazilians population, reflecting an imaginary imbued with negatives references in relations on the cultural ethnic groups that come from source outclassed by the condition social found in Latin American countries. As analysis criteria for this study, are the chapters that were developed from participatory observation in places that immigrants interlocutors exercised some professional and religious activity, and therefore, the dissemination of markers points migration of african-Guyanese to Boa Vista. Having noticed that this stigma, by presented in subtle, level, it might be easily seen as something “normal”, and how these immigrants turn through their social identity (English ancestry) to reframe ethnic identity, which is inserted African descent and thus, try to reverse the stigmatized image inculcated by social, economic and above ethnic and racial. In contemporary times, the issues have been recurrent to explain the disctinctions occurring in social relations that scattered on the empirical and streamiling itself over time to adapt to the environment in which to share the cultural elements of each group Este trabalho tem como objetivo, produzir um conhecimento em torno das complexidades que se formam quando corroboradas ao fator étnico social, que tem como mediação a migração internacional, o qual repercute em indagações e investigações criteriosas. A identidade étnica apresentada por migrantes afro-guianenses na cidade de Boa Vista, é o que está centralizado como objeto de estudo nesta pesquisa e que fora observado que a mesma funciona como elemento de estigma evidenciado por uma parcela da população residente de brasileiros, refletindo um imaginário imbuído de referências negativas no que trata os grupos étnico culturais que advêm de origem inferiorizada pela condição social encontrada em países latinoamericanos. Como critérios de análise para esta pesquisa, estão os capítulos que foram desenvolvidos a partir de observação participativa em locais que os interlocutores migrantes exerciam alguma atividade profissional e religiosa, e que portanto, retratam os pontos marcadores de difusão da migração dos afro-guianenses para Boa Vista. Constatando-se que esse estigma, ao ser apresentado de forma sutil e nivelada, pode ser facilmente encarado como algo “normal”, e como esses migrantes recorrem através da sua identidade social (ascendência inglesa) para ressignificar uma identidade étnica, da qual está inserida a descendência africana e assim, tentam reverter a imagem estigmatizada incutida pelos fatores sociais, econômicos, e sobretudo, étnico-raciais.
