The Amazon holds about 99.6% of its flora chemically unknown and it is estimated that only 10% of plants of the globe were surveyed on their chemical constituents. The Burseraceae family owned Sapindales order consists of 21 genera and over 600 species. The research aimed to investigate the chemical composition and antimicrobial activity of essential oil from the stem bark of Trattinnickia burserifolia the dry and rainy season in a dormant mining Roraima called Tepequém. The herbarium specimens were identified and deposited in the Herbarium of the Federal University of Roraima under number of damping. The essential oil was obtained by hydrodistillation in Clevenger apparatus. The yield of essential oil (W / V) was calculated. One GC / MS system was used with helium (He) as carrier gas. We used the standard hydrocarbons C9-C22 Kovats index and the percentages of the constituents being calculated. 23 constituents were identified in the dry period and 47 in the rainy season. Among the identified constituents, stood the α-pinene, the δ-3-carene and limonene for both periods with different percentages. Antioxidant potential scanning was also carried out by capturing the free radical DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrilhydrazyl). The results obtained both in the dry and in the rainy period was less than 14% antioxidant activity, featuring the essential oil of T. burserifolia no antioxidant activity. Held the toxicity test using microcrustacean Artemia salina, the results of both periods were considered highly toxic: dry period (LD50 = 86.072 g / mL); rainy (LD50 = 45,286 / mL). And a fungus Penicillium sp, the antimicrobial tests, standard strains (ATCC INCQS) were used. from contamination. The essential oil of T. burserifolia showed antibacterial activity in the dry season only two micro-organisms (Penicillium sp., Proteus miriabilis) while in the rainy season all micro-organisms tested were inhibited its growth (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Proteus miriabilis, Candida albicans and Penicillium sp.). The essential oil of T. burserifolia has effective antimicrobial activity of essential oil for application in micro-organisms tested. Mean values of inhibition zones were statistically analyzed by Tukey (p <0.05) with significant differences. For each micro-organism Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) was determined.
