Resumo:
The appliance acknowledgement of water resources in Brazil is highlighted by the institution of a specific policy to determine the guidelines for the use of those resources. The democratization of decision-making processes are both present in federal and state legislation. The state water resources policy has been in existence for just over 10 years and has multiple tools and instruments for the management of state water resources. The State has a council of water resources (CERH) and a formally established information system at your disposal. Besides, there is a lack of regulamentation in policy primordial issues. The state of Roraima does not have a hydrographic division approved by CERH, which creates obstacles in the implementation of public policies that adopt the hydrographic basin as a unit for its implantation. In turn, the state does not have its own tool for the transparency of public information, which allows the participation of public authorities, users and civil society in decision-making. The objective of this research was to characterize the spatial distribution and the profile of uses of water resources in the Cauamé River Basin, making it available in an interactive platform. The research developed a tool for systematic presentation of data provided by the water resources management department for the Cauamé River basin, covering areas of the municipalities of Boa Vista and Alto Alegre, which has multiple established uses and a diversified user profile, such as indigenous communities, settlement projects, industrial use, fish farming and agriculture. As a product, an easy-to-access interactive platform that contains maps and related files to authorizations for the use of water resources (grants and registration of insignificant uses) in the basin. The compartmentalization was carried out according to the codification used by the National Water Agency at level six in order to identify areas with a higher density of users and demand. The most granted sub-basin cubic meters authorization was code 484749 Basin, with a 35% of total volume, and the most user density was code 484741 Basin (with a total of 0,59 user/km²). It was also identified that two grants issued correspond to 51.98% of the total volume granted in the basin in a universe of 710 users. The spatial distribution and usage profile of water resources in the Cauamé River basin can be accessed by the built interactive platform, which can be used to characterize the spatial distribution and the profile of water resource uses in other basins.
