Resumo:
In view of the lack of water distribution through the public supply network, mainly in the rural area of the municipality of Boa Vista, there was a considerable increase in the request for the granting of the right to use water resources for tubular and Amazonian wells in small rural properties. However, the State Foundation for the Environment and Water Resources - FEMARH currently issues such grants, notarially, without any analysis or prior monitoring of these groundwater. The work was developed at PA Nova Amazônia, Polo I, municipality of Boa Vista, state of Roraima, with the objective of characterizing, through Multiparametric Probe and water analysis of the sampled wells, the quality of the groundwater of the Boa Vista Aquifer in that local. Field work was carried out with the geological and hydrogeological characterization of the site. The characterization of water contamination was made by means of samples collected in tubular wells, in a 20 (twenty) liter container in which the parameters of electrical conductivity, pH, turbidity and thermotolerant coliforms were verified, in order to verify what was expected, contamination of the Aquifer. For these measurements, the Portable Multiparameter Probe was used, with readings taken directly on the probe through the computer in her software. Four (4) tubular wells were selected which represent the studied area geographically. The samples were analyzed in the laboratory of the Water and Sewage Company in the State of Roraima - CAER. It was proposed to use a Groundwater Characterization Protocol composed of basics parameters, described in CONAMA Resolution n° 396/2008 and the results showed that the aquifer waters in Polo I for human consumption, is contaminated by coliforms, being, therefore, inappropriate to be consumed in that location. The Public Power, through FEMARH must intervene quickly, providing technical and environmental solutions, such as those described in Decree - E n° 8.123/2007, capable of reviewing and reversing this situation. The Boa Vista Aquifer, at Pole I, was considered extreme vulnerable by the GOD method, as well as having its waters classified as Class 4, according to the classification of CONAMA Resolution n° 396/2008, due to contamination by coliforms. The use of the Protocol proved to be efficient even though it is composed of basics parameters and should be used in other places in the state to characterize and classify, in classes, groundwater. It is worth mentioning that this methodology is not definitive, since, as the CAER laboratory acquires a better structure, more parameters will be included. In this way, the present research intends to show a detailed view of the water situation in underground wells, located in PA Nova Amazônia, Polo I, and with this, guide the use of this important natural resource and, equally, provide subsidies for new grants.
