However, it remains underexplored in detailed studies on the availability and management of its water resources. This study aimed to evaluate the surface water availability in the BHU. The research focused on specific aspects such as precipitation analysis, hydrological year definition, estimation of minimum reference flows (Q7,10, Q95 and Q90), and assessment of the balance between water demand and availability. The methodology included the collection and analysis of hydrometeorological data from rain gauge and flow gauge stations, the application of statistical methods and geoprocessing tools to fill data gaps, and the use of probability distribution models to estimate reference flows. The results showed that the highest precipitation levels in the BHU occur upstream, with significant seasonal variability in the rainfall regime, where the wet season is concentrated between April and August. The concentration of water withdrawals near the river's mouth revealed an imbalance in the allocation of water use permits, emphasizing the need for more balanced management strategies. Additionally, the analysis of minimum reference flows indicated that Q90 exhibited the highest water availability, with a Hydric Commitment Index (HCI) below 50%, suggesting favorable conditions. Conversely, the adoption of 50% of Q7,10 revealed a scenario of unavailability, with an HCI above 100%, highlighting management challenges during droughts or periods of high demand. As a final product, this study resulted in the elaboration of the technical note Hydrometeorological Situation and Water Availability of the Uraricoera River Basin/RR, a practical tool that consolidates these findings and provides support for the efficient and sustainable management of BHU's water resources. A Bacia Hidrográfica do rio Uraricoera (BHU), localizada no noroeste de Roraima, Brasil, é uma região de grande importância hídrica. No entanto, ela ainda é pouco explorada em estudos detalhados sobre a disponibilidade e gestão de seus recursos. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo principal avaliar a disponibilidade hídrica superficial na BHU. O estudo abordou aspectos específicos como a análise da precipitação, a definição do ano hidrológico, a estimativa das vazões mínimas de referência (Q7,10, Q95 e Q90) e a avaliação do balanço entre demanda e disponibilidade hídrica. A metodologia incluiu a coleta e análise de dados hidrometeorológicos de estações pluviométricas e fluviométricas, a aplicação de métodos estatísticos e ferramentas de geoprocessamento para preenchimento de lacunas nos dados, além do uso de modelos de distribuição de probabilidade para estimar vazões de referência. Os resultados indicaram que as maiores precipitações na BHU ocorrem nas áreas a montante, e o regime pluviométrico apresentou variação sazonal significativa, com o período chuvoso concentrado entre abril e agosto. A concentração de captações na região da foz revelou um desequilíbrio na alocação de outorgas, destacando a necessidade de estratégias de gestão mais equilibradas. Além disso, a análise das vazões mínimas de referência mostrou que a vazão Q90 apresentou a maior disponibilidade hídrica, com um Índice de Comprometimento Hídrico (ICH) abaixo de 50%, indicando condições de disponibilidade. Em contrapartida, a adoção de 50% da Q7,10 revelou um cenário de indisponibilidade, com um ICH superior a 100%, evidenciando os desafios de gestão durante períodos de seca ou alta demanda. Como produto final, este estudo resultou na elaboração da nota técnica Situação Hidrometeorológica e Disponibilidade Hídrica da Bacia do Rio Uraricoera/RR, uma ferramenta prática que consolida esses achados e oferece suporte para a gestão eficiente e sustentável dos recursos hídricos da BHU.
