Resumo:
The diplurans have been little studied and the number of individuals known in the world so far reflects well this reality. Currently there are little more of 840 species described in the the world. There are 37 species described for Brazil, 16 belonging to Japygidae, restricted, mainly, for the south region. This work aims to contribute with taxonomic knowledge of Japygidae (Diplura), through descriptions, drawings and a map with geographic registers of the species collected in three cities of the Central Amazonia. A guide, emphasizing the Japygidae, was elaborated to facilitate futures studies with the group. About 60 individuals were analyzed and four species and a new genus (Aculeojapyx gen.n.) were described as new. We described two new species for the genera Aculeojapyx, (Aculeojapyx sp. n. I e Aculeojapyx sp. n. II), a new species for Austrjapyx Silvestri 1948 (Austrjapyx sp. n. I), extending the distribution to north Brazil, and a new species for Mixojapyx Silvestri 1933 (Mixojapyx sp. n. I), registered for the first time in Brazil.
