Resumo:
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the behavior of the concentration of tropospheric ozone (O 3 ) daily and seasonally by the influence of meteorological variables and burning outbreaks inthe region. In addition, it seeks to study the feasibility of using remote information for monitoring air quality. The data used in surface contemplated observations, obtained by the measures of air quality stations and altitude, based on satellite data AQUA. Surface data was the period of October / 2013 to July / 2014 and August / 2014 to October / 2014 to the experimental sites located in the city of Manaus and Manacapuru (Amazonas State), consecutively. Data from satellite inferences AQUA match climatology of estimates of ozone concentration 2003 to 2014. And in particular, the case studies contemplated day 09 to 11.11.2013 and 07.20.2015 (for Manaus) and the ranges of 30-31 / 11/2014 and 29 to 11/30/2014 for the city of Manacapuru.Statistical tools were used as means of analysis and deviations to assess the empirical data distribution and additionally we used the thresholds of the laws of the largest national and international importance of air quality as control parameters. The results showed significant differences in the concentrations found in the experimental sites of this study. Various events show that the concentration of ozone, during the dry season in the region, beyond the existing air quality thresholds, sometimes extending into the early hours of the night. In this sense becomes worrisome the fact that in the dry season there is the intensification and frequency of events that lead to ozone accumulation in surface, which are modulated by the rainfall regime, solar radiation, predominantly wind and external factors such as local fires to favor the production of ozone precursors. Furthermore, remote estimates also showed a significant difference between dry season and rain in the region, and even being underestimated in relation to the measures in surface, they present themselves as an important tool in monitoring the ozone concentration in surface and altitude over areas of difficult access.
