This work is a contribution to the macro and microscopic anatomic study of 10 specimens belonging to the genus Aniba (Lauraceae): A. terminalis, A. duckei, A. canelilla, A. fragrans, A. rosaeodora, A. hostmanniana, A. santalodora, A. permollis, A. guianensis, A. burchellii. For each species is presented the following data about the wood: general characteristics, macro and microscopic description and common uses, and some chemical data about the essential oils. To illustrate the work, there are. one atlas with 10 macrographes and 20 micrographies of the wood structure; 10 line drawings of the different types of cell structures found in the species; 60 tables of technical standards used in wood anatomy and 160 histograms showing the measure of dispersion or variability of the constituent elements of the wood. |
