The cuttineo rooted well under 50% screen shade and with out rooting regulators. O piquiá (Caryocar villosum) é árvore nativa da Bacia Amazônica com potencial para plantios florestais pelo crescimento rápido e produção de madeira de boa qualidade. Como a produção anual de sementes não é abundante e pelas dificuldades na coleta, os autores estudaram a propagação vegetativa com estacas de material juvenil o qual induziu o crescimento de brotação nos tocos.
