Resumo:
The evolution of GIS allowed to discover natural damage on forest, especialy disturbance caused by convective storms called blowdon. In this work were analised images form the ZF-2, a research area from INPA (Manaus – Brasil) captured by the hiperspectral sensor (HYPERYON)and selected five blowdowns that ocorred in 2005/January. The aim of this research was to compare the NPV values (nonphotosynthetic vegetation) with the mortality rates and necromass mesured in field. Severely affecteed areas were indentified by four “endmember spectral mixing analysis” (SMA). From this analis was determineted the coordinates of five diferent spectral response in each blowdown forming a damaege canopy gradiant from 0 to 100%. Plots ( 20x20 m) were insataled and was mesured the dbh from all living and dead trees over 10 cm. The results showed a low relationship beetween the NPV value and the mortality (p ≥0,05) rate as well with the necromass (p ≥0,05). Probably this was caused by the dificult to install the plots with precision and the influece of external trees. With the improvement of the aplicated methodology it will be possible to validate the relationship bettween the spectral atribut and the mesures on the filed producing accurate informations for the carbon dinamic models.
