Resumo:
This objective of the work had study the time consumption, determine the yield and costs per cubic meter, considering temperature, safety and food, in forest harvest in Central Amazon. The collection of the data was done in Precious Woods Amazon Company, situated between the latitudes 2°43’ and 3°07’ S and longitudes 58°31’ and 58°57’ W. Was valued one logging team, composed per two chainsaw operators and a leader, during two weeks, registered the cutting time of 224 trees or 224 cycles. With these data was calculate the yield and operational costs. The local temperature during operation was measurements through digital thermometer. For the other aspects, the collected information had enclosed all over the chainsaw operators, of the logging team. To know the opinion of the operators about the equipments of individual protection a questionnaire was applied and it was also collected information about offered menu during one week, as well as they were weighed or quantified the food ingested for the chainsaw operators. The average time consumption cutting a tree was 14.85 minutes, being the cleaning for the cut of trees the element that took more time. The interruptions were around 16.63% of this time and the most frequent were the operational. The statistics analysis showed that as bigger is the tree diameter bigger will be the cutting consumption time and this relation was highly significant (p < 0,0001). The yield found was of 21.83 m3 per hour, the cost of chainsaw per hour was R$ 29,05 and cost per cubic meter was R$ 1.33. The data of local temperature indicate a tendency of reduction of the yield with the increase of the local temperature. All operators considering essential the use of the equipments of individual protection, but there were complaints about the comfort of these equipments, primarily in relation to the heat provokes for the helmet. The food offered for Company, supplies the necessities caloric daily required for the type of work, as well as minimum daily ingestion of the nutrients, except the vitamin A and C, which deficiency of the 52.78% and 38.89%, respectively. The calculation of the index of corporal mass showed that 66.67% of the operators are with the normal weight and 33.33% are overweight.
