Resumo:
This study evaluated the early stage of development, production and quality of sweet orange cv.Pera [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck] grafted on seven different rootstocks. The research - which started in February 2013 and ended in September 2014 - was held in a rural property located in Costa do laranjal (03º07'21 '' S / 60º18'09.6''W), in the municipality of Manacapuru-AM. Were studied 35 plants, randomly distributed in an orchard with 122 plants and an equal area to 3,465 m2, with a density of 352 plants / ha. The grafted plants were evaluated in seven rootstocks („Rangpur‟, „Sunki‟ x Citrumelo „English‟ 256, „Sunki‟ x Citrumelo „English‟ 264, „Sunki‟ x Citrumelo „Swingle‟ 314, Tangerina „Sunki Common‟, Tangerina „Sunki Wonder‟ e Tangerina „Sunki Tropical‟). For each rootstock were randomly selected five plants. The initial development phase of the grafted plants was assessed by measuring the parameters of height, diameter, volume of canopy and indexes conformation of canopy. The production was evaluated by the following parameters: productivity index, cumulative production and efficiency of production. Fruit quality was assessed according to the physical parameters (mean fruit weight, percentage of fruit juice and volume) and chemical parameters (titratable acidity, soluble solids, ratio, technological content and ascorbic acid content). For production (in kg) and chemical variables of quality of fruits was used completely randomized design. The vigor of the plants was analyzed descriptively as well as some analysis of the physical parameters of fruit quality. In the analysis of some variables of plant vigor was used the correlation. The analysis showed that plants that used the rootstock „Rangpur‟ reached greater heights. Evidence indicates that the density of 352 plants / ha did not affect the height and canopy diameter for all grafted plants. The height of the grafted plants are highly correlated with the diameter thereof. The port more productive grafts were „Rangpur‟, „Sunki‟x Citrumelo „English‟ 256 e „Sunki‟ x Citrumelo „Swingle‟ 314. The grafted plants produced fruits with high acidity. The levels of soluble solids were lower than the acidity in all plants. There were no differences in volume of fruit, juice percentage and weight of the fruits of all grafted plants. Plants grafted with „Rangpur‟, and the citrandarins „common Sunki‟ presented fruits with chemical best qualities in tropical climate region.
