The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of the quality of the Residency Program in Family and Community Medicine on the improvement of Basic Health Care in Gurupi-TO. This descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out between December 2017 and March 2018, in 12 UBS of SUS's Basic Health Care network in the municipality of Gurupi-TO. The sample comprised 107 health workers (doctors, nurses , nursing technicians and community health agents), who answered the questionnaire for evaluation and monitoring of Basic Care services QualiAB 2016. The data were analyzed by scores of the UBS who own and those who do not have the PRMSFC and compared by means of the test ANOVA in the Bioestat program 5.3. There was a statistically significant difference between the Basic Health Units with and without Medical Residence in Family and Community Health, the items that contributed the most were Health Education and the Material Resources, Procedures and Basic Inputs, and those with the lowest Adult and Elderly Health items, Child and Adolescent Health and Oral Health, evidencing the need to be monitored and re-evaluated frequently these indicators. It is concluded that the Medical Residency Program of Family and Community Health of the University of Gurupi promotes improvement in the quality of Primary Health Care services carried out at the Basic Health Units at the municipal level. Os Programas de Residência Médica em Medicina de Família e Comunidade foram implantados em todo o país, e recentemente em Gurupi-TO, com a finalidade de garantir meios de aprendizado e aplicabilidade no âmbito do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) e aumentar a quantidade de especialistas médicos em saúde de família e comunidade. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar o impacto da qualidade do Programa de Residência em Medicina de Família e Comunidade na melhoria da Atenção Básica de Saúde, em Gurupi-TO. Esta pesquisa do tipo descritiva, transversal foi realizada no período de dezembro de 2017 a março de 2018, em 12 UBS da rede de Atenção Básica de Saúde do SUS no município de Gurupi-TO, compuseram a amostra 107 servidores de saúde (médicos, enfermeiros, técnicos de enfermagem e agentes comunitários de saúde), que responderam ao questionário de avaliação e monitoramento de serviços de Atenção Básica QualiAB 2016. Os dados foram analisados por scores das UBS que possuem e as que não possuem o PRMSFC e comparados por meio do teste ANOVA no programa Bioestat 5.3. Houve diferença estatisticamente significativa entre as Unidades Básicas de Saúde com e sem Residência Médica em Saúde da Família e Comunidade, os itens que mais contribuíram foram o de Educação em Saúde e o de Recursos Materiais, Procedimentos e Insumos Básicos, e os com menores índices os itens Saúde do Adulto e da pessoa Idosa, Saúde da Criança e do Adolescente e Saúde Bucal, evidenciando a necessidade de serem monitorados e reavaliados frequentemente esses indicadores.
