It has as a main goal to realize a study about the approach of Financial Mathematics and Financial Education in Basic Education. In addition to explaining the relevance of these contents what prepare the students to be more organized people to deal with concrete situations, in an ascension context of new market practices, in which the mastery of financial issues becomes fundamental. From the methodological point of view, in addition to the bibliographic and documental research, it uses experience reports to contextualize the reflection about Financial Education. That report indicates that the Financial Mathematics as a school subject and content can be a first step to the formation of citizens who deal well with money and with finances. The knowledge of simple financial operations, as calculation of benefits, discounts, interest, income is very important to control the personal budget, preparation of a family financial planning, decision-making about consumption, essential elements for the construction of a balanced and financially stable life. Finally, it is necessary to consider that all this reflection and this school subject teaching do not begin of an uncritical posture, unlike, the Financial Education does not forget to consider the problems of abuse of consumption and its proposition is related just to a kind of conscientization about the critical use of money, preventing that people from being victims of a series of operations and abuses of the financial system. Esta dissertação discute o papel da Educação Financeira e sua importância em ser desenvolvida desde a escola. Tem por objetivo principal realizar um estudo sobre a abordagem dos assuntos Matemática Financeira e Educação Financeira na Educação Básica, além disso explana a pertinência desses conteúdos, os quais prepara os estudantes a serem pessoas mais organizadas, sabendo assim, lidar com situações concretas, num contexto de ascensão de novas práticas de mercado, no qual o domínio das questões financeiras torna-se fundamental. Do ponto de vista metodológico, além da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, utiliza-se relatos de experiência para contextualizar a reflexão acerca da Educação Financeira. Tal relato aponta que a Matemática Financeira, como disciplina e conteúdo escolar, pode ser um primeiro passo para a formação de cidadãos que lidam bem, seja com o dinheiro, seja com as finanças. O conhecimento de operações financeiras simples, como cálculos de prestações, descontos, juros, rendimentos é de grande relevância para o controle do orçamento pessoal, a elaboração de planejamento financeiro familiar, tomada de decisões sobre consumo, elementos imprescindíveis para a construção de uma vida equilibrada e estável financeiramente. Finalmente, é preciso considerar que toda essa reflexão e o ensino dessa disciplina não parte de uma postura acrítica, ao contrário, a Educação Financeira não deixa de considerar os problemas do abuso do consumo e sua propositura está ligada justamente a uma espécie de conscientização quanto ao uso crítico do dinheiro, evitando que as pessoas sejam vítimas de uma série de operações e abusos do sistema financeiro. 2019-02-11T17:51:49Z 2019-02-11T17:51:49Z 2018-10-29 Dissertação SILVA, Gisely Fernandes e.
