Given the wide field of activity of the electrical engineering course, always advocating that it is a course where one works directly with technological innovations, the present work brings one of the most important components of the industry today, the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), one of the most advanced forms of HMI (Human Machine Interface) monitoring and control systems, responsible for doing digital and remote intermediation between operator and machines in the industry. All this applied to the pet market which, due to its expansion the search for hotel and day care services, had a great growth. To keep up with this demand, an engineering and automation study was developed to create an automated kennel feeder using a PLC that is responsible for managing the entire system. This system allows an operator in his room to be able to monitor the reservoir level, control the amount of feed to be replenished or if necessary not to be replenished, all being controlled from a supervisory system that controls the PLC. Thus, the whole process becomes optimized and ensures a healthy and less wasteful diet, as well as reducing the number of employees, as intervention is required only when the feed reservoir is at low levels. |
