Resumo:
This work has as theme the use of games and jokes in the Elementary School classroom as a teaching-learning tool. The objective is to verify how the use of these methodologies influence the learning of the children. For this, a qualitative research was carried out, using as tools the observation in the classroom and the application of a questionnaire with the involved teachers. It was verified that the use of these activities is very accepted by the students, who with this, have a much more expressive participation in those moments. It was also inferred that the greatest obstacle in the effective and full practice of simpler and fun methodologies is the lack of preparation of the professionals of the area in what concerns the ludic contents. It is also concluded that when these activities are well conducted, there is a significant gain, both in knowledge and in the development of the proposed skills. Therefore, through the analysis performed it is seen that the use of these means brings advantages, not only for the student, but also for the teacher.
