The study in question aims to report a pedagogical experience with traditional
games in the Physical Education discipline, in a school in the city of Tocantinópolis – TO. To
this end, an interventional field research was carried out with 36 students in the 9th year of
Elementary School. Participant observation and the composition of diaries were used as field
recording techniques. The pedagogical intervention was structured in 5 (five) classes, which
included video exhibitions, conversation circles, home research with family members,
production of themed drawings and experiences of some traditional games. The qualitative
analysis of the information produced in the field allowed us to understand that although some
games no longer make up the routine of the Tocantinopolina community, they populate the
social imagination and bring to light aspects of everyday life that can be configured as important
tools of (re) knowledge of local memory. |
