Resumo:
Wood supplying techniques and operations bringing high yield and production rates are important for better sustainable development. The objective of this work was to carry out an operational analysis of semi - mechanized forest activity for the production of charcoal in forest stands in the southern state of Tocantins. This study was conducted in an experimental area on the "Vale Verde" farm, located in the municipality of Aliança do Tocantins, in the southern state of Tocantins. The semi-mechanized harvesting system was evaluated, consisting of chainsaw, track tractor, stump truck and agricultural tractor with attached trailer. The operational analysis was performed through time and motion studies, and the elements of the operational cycle were evaluated, determining the mechanical availability, operational efficiency and productivity. The results show that the most time in the operational cycle of the felling was the slaughtering operation with 85%, in the working cycle of the processing activity the tracing element and the draining element consumed 74% and in the extraction activity the loading element demanded 46% of the time of the activity. All activities presented mechanical availability below 80%, a value considered low for forest harvesting machines. The highest operational efficiency value found was 85%, in the clearing activity and the lowest in the extraction activity with 51%. The total productivity of semi-mechanized harvesting activity in the area was 69.58 m³ h-1. The values of mechanical availability, operational efficiency and productivity in semi-mechanized harvesting activities evaluated in this study will serve as a basis for producers in the region to establish operational planning of harvesting activities
