Tourismis the main agent for hotel activities to exist. In this region, the ecotourism is highlighted as its activities are practiced in protected natural areas, where the focus lies in the contact with the elements of nature. Thus, a proposal to implement an Inn becomes viable, as it stimulates the growth of visitors number, provides integration between ecotourist and environment and enhances regional economy. O distrito de Taquaruçu faz parte do Polo turístico da região de Palmas, e devido a sua grande riqueza natural, serras e recursos hídricos, o local foi escolhido para a implantação da Pousada Caminho das Águas, que é a proposta projetual deste trabalho. O Turismo é o principal agente para que atividades hoteleiras existam, e nesta região, o ecoturismo se destaca por ser a atividade turística praticada em áreas naturais conservadas, cujo interesse é o contato com os elementos da natureza.
