This paper aims to propose an architectural project of an Indigenous Health House (CASAI), for the city of Palmas, capital of the state of Tocantins, which focuses on welcoming and contemplates the cultural specificities of users. The rationale for the development is based on bibliographic research, followed by interviews with indigenous students from the Federal University of Tocantins and with employees of the two existing CASAIs in the state, applying a questionnaire directed to users of nursing homes and analysis of photographs and drawings produced by the interviewees. From the qualitative approach of the collected data was developed project determined to satisfy the users needs through architectural solutions that meet the current norms and are appropriate to the climatic conditions of the region, prioritizing the visual aspects of straw and mud brick. It is concluded that a project appropriate to the diversity of users and professionals can only be carried out with their participation and that materials common to indigenous architecture can be applied to urban buildings satisfactorily responding to the cerrado bioclimate. |
