We were encouraged to think about teaching methodologies, including the experience of such individuals. We used the methodology of oral history in conducting interviews with ten selected students, applying a dynamic in the classroom to raise the representations of the students about the feminine and the masculine. Finally, we worked with the class to survey and analyze the female images in the EJA textbook. The use of all these methodologies aimed to contribute to reflection on the use of female image for the teaching of history and gender discussions in the educational environment. The analyzes carried out point to the richness of the life experiences that are discussed and analyzed in the classroom, together with the work with feminine images contributes to the historical learning about the relations between men and women in the present time. As a product, we present a didactic sequence that goes through the students' life histories, using a strategy to stimulate them to show their representations of feminine and masculine, conversational circles and analysis of the feminine images in the didactic book. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo apontar possibilidades do ensino de história das mulheres segundo a partir das experiências dos/as estudantes da Educação de Jovens e Adultos. Fomos instigados a pensar metodologias de ensino, incluindo as experiências desses sujeitos. Defendemos que a escola e as aulas de história podem tanto ser espaço para legitimação do status quo, quanto de emancipação e de mudanças. Utilizamos a metodologia da história oral na realização de entrevistas com dez alunos (as) selecionados, aplicamos uma dinâmica em sala de aula para levantar as representações dos estudantes sobre o feminino e o masculino. Por fim, trabalhamos com a turma o levantamento e análise das imagens femininas no livro didático da EJA. O uso de todas essas metodologias teve por objetivo contribuir para reflexão sobre o uso da imagem feminina para o ensino de história e discussões de gênero no ambiente educacional. As análises realizadas apontam para a riqueza das experiências de vida que discutidas e analisadas em sala de aula, juntamente com o trabalho com imagens femininas contribui para a aprendizagem histórica sobre as relações entre homens e mulheres no tempo presente.
