Energy alternatives through renewable energy sources, has been the object of research worldwide, either by economic, geopolitical or environmental reasons. Therefore, lignocellulosic material consists in an interesting alternative feedstock. Thus, in this work was studied the potential of ethanol production by four Brachiaria species using the association of the complex: Cellic® CTec2 and Cellic® HTec2. The experimental design was completely randomized with four treatments (Brachiaria) and four replications. The data were submitted to normality Shapiro-Wilk test and subsequently to an analysis of variance by F test. The averages of the treatments and their outcomes were compared by Scott-Knott test at 5% probability. Were evaluated the fiber content in a neutral and acid detergent, digestibility and the estimation of ethanol production by stoichiometry. It was observed differences between brachiarias species for the potential of second generation ethanol production depending on the amount of neutral detergent fiber digestible. B. decumbens and B. brizantha cv. Marandu had lower potential of second generation ethanol production when compared to B. ruziziensis and Convert HD364. |
