The public health policy in Brazil is configured as important government action that can contribute to economic growth and regional development, since one cannot deny the importance of individual and collective health of citizens and workers in these processes. This research aimed to identify and discuss the National Policy of Humanization in the perspective of Social Management. This policy, prepared by the Ministry of Health, is a strategic tool for the possibilities of changes in management processes and care through methods of inclusion and appreciation of the worker. Seeks to promote the grupalidades and collective construction with the participation of workers in planning and decision processes. For achieving this goal, we used the information obtained in a quantitative-descriptive field research, social, in health care, where we used the questionnaires application technique investigating about the processes of humanization in health facilities in 2011. Initially we used theoretical framework that addresses concepts of the National Humanization Policy, Social Management, the National Health System and Citizen Participation. The questionnaire was applied to 19 health units, under state management, encompassing fifteen municipalities of Tocantins, reaching a total of 19 valid questionnaires. This research has led to a process of institutional support in an attempt to implement the National Policy of Humanization in a healthcare facility under state management, using the method of action research, which allowed the intervention and analysis process implementation of this policy, which was discussed from the perspective of Social Management
