Resumo:
The experimental construction of a Malkus-Lorenz Waterwheel with angular position data acquisition system is described. function of time by employing the Arduino Open Access Electronic Prototyping Platform, the Labview Graphics Programming Systems and Language and compatible electronic devices and sensors. The experimental system is introduced as a tool to equip high-school and undergraduate didactic Physics labs to motivate, support and consolidate the teaching-learning of nonlinear phenomena in mechanical physics at the high school level. The experimental system is presented as an educational product accompanied by an interactive book, information technology and communication invention very recent, called Extended E-book. The book presents concepts of physics and mathematics associated with phenomena linear and nonlinear found in the systems described by the dynamics of Newtonian mechanics. The importance of mathematical concepts employed to formalize physical phenomena which should help to better understand the close interrelationship between these two areas of knowledge. The extended Ebook contains computer simulations, audio files and videos that help a better understanding of the nonlinear physical phenomena involved with the topic of study. The set of educational products were used in high school classes at the Tocantins Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFTO) - Campos Araguatins.
