For this, root country music, as a methodological resource, for the geography classes of Brazil as a narrative element of living in the relationship of the field subject with geographic space would strengthen the teaching process and local identity. The methodological proposal of geography teaching through root country music can lead the student to a reflexive posture in front of the content. Because this methodology can relate your experience to the globalized world. Therefore, it is necessary that the subject recognizes himself belonging to an identity linked to the environment. We believe that the social representations of traits reflected by local reality through memory, makes it possible to think about the memory of the absent in the present memory. And root country music with elements described in the composition of letters and melodic style bring elements of the geographic, social and historical space that associated with student memory influences the teaching and learning process. Associating the elements of cultural identity we can build a dialogue between root country music and content of high school geography. Therefore, the proposal to work with the use of root country music in the discipline of high school geography at Cel College. José Francisco de Azevedo in Conceição do Tocantins demonstrates how much the social memory of the students, who are or are connected to the field identify them in local collective memory, since music is a key piece for them to activate their memories. And with this qualitative action research based on the subject highlights how much the subject's personal memory needs to be part of the school educational space. Where the performance result enabled the pedagogical development of classes to better effect the performance of learning O processo de ensino e aprendizagem na sala de aula nas aulas de geografia exige mecanismo didático-metodológico que auxilie na relação do conteúdo com o espaço de vivência e a compreensão das relações do espaço geográfico. Para isso, a música sertaneja de raiz, como recurso metodológico, para as aulas de geografia do Brasil como elemento narrativo de vivência da relação do sujeito do campo com o espaço geográfico fortaleceria o processo de ensino e a identidade local. A proposta metodológica do ensino de geografia através da música sertaneja de raiz pode levar o aluno para uma postura reflexiva frente ao conteúdo. Pois essa metodologia pode relacionar sua vivência com o mundo globalizado. Por isso, é necessário que o sujeito se reconheça pertencente a uma identidade ligada ao meio. Acreditamos que as representações sociais dos traços refletidos pela realidade local através da memória, possibilita pensar a lembrança do ausente na memória presente. E a música sertaneja de raiz com elementos descritos na composição das letras e no estilo melódico trazem elementos do espaço geográfico, social e histórico que associado a memória discente influencia no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Associando os elementos da identidade cultural podemos construir um diálogo entre a música sertaneja de raiz e conteúdo da geografia do ensino médio. Portanto a proposta de trabalho com o uso da música sertaneja de raiz na disciplina de geografia do ensino médio no Colégio Cel. José Francisco de Azevedo em Conceição do Tocantins demonstra o quanto a memória social dos discentes, que são ou estão ligados ao campo os identificam na memória coletiva local, uma vez que a música é peça chave para que ativem suas lembranças. E com essa pesquisa-ação de caráter qualitativo e com base bibliográfica destaca o quanto a memória pessoal do sujeito precisa fazer parte do espaço educacional escolar.
