Teenage pregnancy is usually linked to the risk of miscarriage. Pregnancy leads the adolescent to experience a reorganization of her identity as an individual, allowing a broader look in relation to the context of her life, as an internal analysis, since the psychological experience facing abortion is not uniform, varies depending on the characteristics personal events, events that are associated with pregnancy, the circumstances of your life at the time of abortion, predisposing you to biopsychosocial risks, which makes it a public health problem. The aim of this research was: To know protective and risk factors present in the context of adolescents who suffered abortion and were treated at a specialized health service in the city of Gurupi - TO. For data collection, a semi-structured interview was used, elaborated by the author based on the theoretical framework established and analyzed from the perspective of Bardin's content analysis. Two interviews were conducted with adolescents who had undergone the abortion process at the Gurupi-TO Regional Hospital, the first interview being held between 5 to 7 days and the second 30 days after the event. Through this study it was possible to identify age and educational level as risk factors, with family support and religious belief as protective factors that enable the adolescent's psychological adaptation favoring her resilience to the abortion process. It was observed that previous history and family support are essential tools for a positive resolution of the whole process, mitigating the risk of emotional sequelae. A adolescência se caracteriza por um período de transição entre a infância e a vida adulta, marcada por mudanças físicas, emocionais, mentais, sexuais e sociais, identificada como período de maior vulnerabilidade, em função da ocorrência de intensas e rápidas modificações. A gravidez na adolescência está quase sempre ligada ao risco de aborto. A gestação leva a adolescente a vivenciar uma reorganização de sua identidade como indivíduo, possibilitando um olhar tanto mais amplo em relação ao contexto de sua vida, quanto uma análise interna, já a vivência psicológica frente ao aborto não é uniforme, varia em função das características pessoais, eventos que estejam associados à gravidez, às circunstâncias de sua vida no momento do aborto, predispondo à riscos biopsicossociais, o que torna um problema de saúde pública. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi: conhecer fatores de proteção e de risco presentes no contexto de adolescentes que sofreram aborto e foram atendidas num serviço de saúde especializado na cidade de Gurupi - TO. Para coleta de dados foi utilizada entrevista semiestruturada, elaborada pela autora a partir do referencial teórico estabelecido e analisado sob a perspectiva da análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Foram realizados dois ciclos de entrevistas com adolescentes que tivessem passado pelo processo de aborto, no Hospital Regional de Gurupi-TO, sendo a primeira entrevista realizada entre 5 a 7 dias e a segunda 30 dias após o evento. Por meio deste estudo houve a possibilidade de se identificar como fatores de risco a idade e o nível educacional, sendo o apoio familiar e a crença religiosa fatores de proteção os quais possibilitam a adaptação psicológica da adolescente favorecendo sua resiliência frente ao processo de aborto.
