The Present Course Conclusion Paper has as its central theme the influence of leisure on the well-being of the elderly. The main objective of this work is to seek a theoretical deepening on the subject, to understand how the poor elderly live, in capitalist society, where we know that it is unequal, because it always prioritizes the new; and where the elderly do not have the opportunity to occupy their free time. In order to elucidate the main objective, we started to explain the genesis and the concept of leisure as a way of understanding the main category of the proposed study. Then, we analyzed leisure in old age and ended with the problematization of the main difficulties to implement and experience leisure in old age. The theme chosen is the result of intense concerns, which led us to dive into the search for answers. In order to reach the objective of the raised debate, we performed a basic bibliographic research, whose operability was solved by reading, reflecting and interpreting the works written on the researched theme. Following this methodological approach we arrive at the results of the study. The first step in this search speaks of the main explanatory approaches to leisure. For this, we bring the history of leisure from its emergence to the various types of leisure available. In this study we also address the pleasure experienced by the elderly when engaging in recreational activities, which are playful manifestations of leisure that present a personal development related to inner satisfaction and, when practiced intensely, can promote the health and general well-being of all people. populations. In the last step of the elaborated reflection, we discussed the main difficulties faced by the elderly from the popular classes to experience leisure as a basic social right. At the end of the study, we concluded that leisure has a social role to contribute to the quality of life of the human being, as it directly affects the emotional state, health, well-being and personal development of the individual. And, mainly, of the individual who has already reached old age. |
