Currently, it presents itself as a plural space and a connection between culture, science and society, however they face numerous challenges to meet their functions and purposes, highlighting the importance of research that contributes to this theme. In this sense, the main objective of this work is to present the activities that involved the restoration, cleaning, identification and storage of the Numismatic Collection of the Museu Histórico e Cultural de Arraias, from the perspective of the relations between museums and numismatic collections. As a means and complement of this objective, we also adopted the following specific objectives: to research techniques and procedures for restoration, hygiene, identification and storage of numismatic collections; and develop Heritage Education activities based on the experiences of the supervised mandatory internship. To achieve these objectives, the methodological procedures used in this work were: as for the approach, the research is qualitative and of an applied nature, as far as the objectives are concerned, it is exploratory, finally, regarding the procedures, bibliographic, documentary research and action research. From the activities developed during the supervised mandatory internship, it was possible to create the numismatic catalog of the Museu Histórico e Cultural de Arraias. Through the catalog and the acquired learning, a workshop and a virtual exhibition were also held, valuing this heritage that was previously in a state of neglect and still sharing knowledge and promoting cultural leisure for both the local community and tourists. , signaling the importance of protecting our treasures from the past. O Museu enquanto instituição sofreu inúmeras transformações com o passar do tempo. Na atualidade ele apresenta-se como um espaço plural e de conexão da cultura, da ciência e da sociedade, no entanto eles enfrentam inúmeros desafios para atender suas funções e finalidades, evidenciando a importância de pesquisas que contribuam para essa temática. Nesse sentido o objetivo principal desse trabalho é apresentar as atividades que envolveram a realização do restauro, higienização, identificação e armazenamento da Coleção Numismática do Museu Histórico e Cultural de Arraias, sob a ótica das relações entre museus e coleções numismáticas. Como meios e complemento desse objetivo, adotamos também os seguintes objetivos específicos: pesquisar técnicas e procedimentos de restauro, higienização, identificação e armazenamento de coleções numismáticas; e desenvolver atividades de Educação Patrimonial a partir das experiências do estágio obrigatório supervisionado. Para alcançar tais objetivos, os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados neste trabalho foram: quanto à abordagem a pesquisa é qualitativa e de natureza aplicada, já no que concerne aos objetivos ela é exploratória, por fim quanto aos procedimentos utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e a pesquisa-ação. A partir das atividades desenvolvidas durante o do estágio obrigatório supervisionado foi possível a realização do catálogo numismático do Museu Histórico e Cultural de Arraias.
