Resumo:
The effectiveness of the genetic houses in producing heavier and heavier chickens brought many challenges to the poultry industry to be solved, among them the importance of the relationship between the increase in body weight and reproductive decrease, in addition to the influence of age, health, nutrition and the environment in which these animals are housed. All the elements mentioned above must be controlled in order to have positive results in the creation of the matrices. The main two being: obesity and age. In the evolution of poultry, one of the main advances in the production of broilers, was the technique of artificial incubation, where it can be carried out in the period of 21 days that the fertile egg produces the chick of one day, important to manifest the potential of the strains and to increase the zootechnical indexes more and more, since 21 days represents in the life of the broiler, something around 33 to 50%. In the stages that precede this production of fertile eggs, the breeding and rearing phase represents a system within the poultry industry that needs a whole planning, as programs that compete for ambience, light, temperature, nutrition, health and biosecurity must be taken into account , so that they contemplate all risk situations, being modified if necessary, always contributing to animal welfare and health.
