The present study aims to analyze the socioeconomic conditions of the families benefited by the PBF in the municipality of Miracema do Tocantins - TO. It is a case study, carried out by means of a questionnaire and interview applied with beneficiary families of the PBF in the neighborhood Mustafa Bucar. The research analyzes the historical panorama of social policies in Brazil; Poverty in Brazil; the origin of the Programs of Transfer of Income and more precisely the BolsaFamília Program, that despite eingcriticized, on providing the inertia of the beneficiaries, which is a distorted form of the reality of said neighborhood, since according to the research the vast majority would exchange the benefit for a job, disregarding any form of accommodation to the PBF, despite the positive aspects of the PBF to thousands of families throughout the country, as is the case of the municipality of Miracema do Tocantins - TO. The obtained data were quantified qualitatively. As main results, the research showed that the BolsaFamília Program provided an increase in the family income of beneficiaries, as well as facilitating the access of children and adolescents to school, which could contribute, in the long term, to combating illiteracy, in addition to other expressions of the social question. It also made it possible for families to have access to health services through the monitoring of children. It was also verified that there was an improvement in the quality of life, through a planning and autonomy of the beneficiaries of said neighborhood. The study may contribute to clarification as to what beneficiaries think about whether the PBF is a right or a help, the response has been divided although a good part of it is believed to be a right, some of the respondents still think it is government aid. For, in fact, it is a right of the state to distribute income to those who are, in a way, part of a majority that does not have a monthly income and live in poverty. Finally, this study also ontributes to the academic production, since its results can serve as a parameter of comparison with other researches carried out on the same theme. |
