The term domestic violence has been used to describe the most varied forms of violence practiced within the family environment, with violence against women being the most frequent, but not the only one. This type of violence is an ancient and complex phenomenon whose causes are the most varied and has acquired a greater, threatening and dark dynamic. Domestic violence against women can take different forms: physical, emotional, psychological, patrimonial, sexual and moral. The objective of the work is to identify the determinations of violence against women and the representation of victims assisted in a Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance in a city, in the State of Tocantins. The methodology used was an exploratory-descriptive documental study, with a quantitative approach, which seeks to analyze the types of violence and victims attended at the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance in a city in the State of Tocantins. Data collection for 2017 and 2018 was carried out between March and April 2021. Our study shows that the number of complaints of domestic violence against women is growing, so we consider the importance of more studies that deal with of domestic violence, since several studies point to the accelerated growth of women aged between 26 and 46 years and
complaints about violation of women's rights and mistreatment are increasingly present in assistance equipment. |
